Incorporating the style of traditional foil art first practised in Kyoto's Nishijin district, Takuro Noguchi goes beyond conventions with his unique 'hakuga' pieces. These complex creations consist mainly of thin gold and silver foil and lacquer, and have netted the artist recognition all across East Asia. Check out 12 of Noguchi's representative works at this free Aoyama exhibition.
