Windmills, canals, seascapes and boats that make up typical Dutch sceneries are the main motifs of the Hague School, a group of realist painters based in the Dutch capital in the late 19th century. See their work at this exhibition that includes pieces from collections owned by the Hague Municipal Museum and the Kröller-Müller Museum, including paintings by members of the Barbizon school and luminaries like Vincent van Gogh and Piet Mondrian.
