Review

While Papabubble, the specialty handmade sweet shop, usually calls Barcelona home, they're becoming something of a chain here in Tokyo, having recently opened their second store here in Tokyo, this time in Shibuya. Up until now, the Nakano store was the only place you could pick up their sugary treats, but the new shop is easy to access from Shibuya, Yoyogi-Hachiman and Yoyogi-Koen stations.

What makes Papabubble different from other shops is that you can actually see the sweets being made. Inside, you can get up close and see the sugar being stretched and cut into its final candy form. There are displays of sweets in all shapes and sizes, and there is always a delicious sugary scent in the air. Their amazing, colourful creations of sweets, shaped like fruits or animals, make a great gift.
