Review

Look out for the giant cartoon mascot painted on the top of this flagship store in Akihabara. Inside the six-floor building it’s a hive of activity as Japan’s otaku (nerds) flip through the latest releases. In addition to the nation’s bestselling new comics, the shop offers a selection of dojinshi, fanzines created by devoted manga amateurs, showcasing everything from Disney-esque fantasies to hard-core porn.
