Review

The prototype for the huge malls that dominate Tokyo’s retail scene, Sunshine City lacks much of the glossy glamour of its subsequent rivals. Most of its shops and restaurants are in the Alpa Shopping Centre. The complex also hosts the Ancient Orient Museum, an indoor theme park called Namja Town and the Gyoza Stadium (a collection of restaurants devoted to Japan’s beloved dumplings).
