Review

The name may sound Japanese, but the food is 100 per cent Korean home-style cooking. Kick off your shoes, sit on the floor and tuck into Matsuya’s rugged kamjatang hot-pot, a delectable chilli-rich stew of potatoes and massive pork backbones. Subtle fare this is not, but it’s great for keeping out the winter chill. Wash it all down with the milky (but potent) makkoli rice wine.
