The slogan at Akabane's OK Yokocho is ‘everything that's OK to eat and drink’, and although that just might be a slight exaggeration, you will find around 30 eateries and pubs lined up here. With origins dating back to the postwar black market, the atmosphere here is authentic to say the least – think more dirt-cheap Chinese, izakayas and eel than trendy Italian spots.
