'Born in New York, raised in Tokyo' is the concept at Maruichi Bagel, the Shirokane bakery that makes bagel sandwiches so delectable that they've become the talk of the neighbourhood. You can freely choose fillings for your sandwich, while the bagels are available in flavours like seven grain honey, rock salt and poppy. The hard surface and thick inside make for a filling and nutritious goodie. Note that the lack of a signboard makes the shop somewhat hard to find.
