Once home to one of the capital's most exclusive beer gardens, with a capacity of just 20 people per night, the Hilton Tokyo is now taking a far more inclusive approach. Relocated to a terrace spot overlooking Shinjuku Chuo Park, the hotel's beer garden now has space for 180 people, and a price tag far less eye-watering than the ¥7,500 they used to charge. In fact, were it not for the classier location, you might struggle to distinguish it from the beer gardens that you find atop almost every major department store in the city. ¥2,800 gets you all you can drink from a menu including draft Asahi Super Dry and Ebisu beer, wine and soft drinks, with a selection of stodgy food also available for an additional charge.
