Tamura Akihide: Light of Dreams

Sat Jul 21 - Sun Sep 23, 2012 Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography
田村彰英 シリーズ「BASE」より 『横須賀』 1969年

Time Out says

'Yume no Hikari' (Light of Dreams) was the title that photographer Akihide Tamura chose for his debut solo exhibition, held at Nikon Salon back in 1969. There's a sense of circularity to this retrospective, which collects over 100 images from throughout his career. Tellingly, it's the earlier shots that are the most potent, including Tamura's popular BASE series depicting US military bases around Japan.
