Ever since he picked up an instant camera and started snapping schoolgirls, Yasumasa Yonehara has been an influential force on the Tokyo fashion scene, whether he was helping kickstart the '90s kogyaru boom or getting his schtick ripped off by American Apparel. On July 29, the photographer known as Yone-chan releases his latest paean to the neighborhood that made his name, entitled Harajuku Kawaii!!!! Girls. He'll be exhibiting some shots from the book at Time Out Café & Diner this week, as well as DJing at a special party on Thursday evening.
