Seven years after it started life at Crane's Hollywood Tavern in LA, the mother of all backyard parties is finally arriving in Tokyo. There were a few secrets to The Do-Over's success: a stream of top-grade DJs, led by Aloe Blacc, Stone's Throw mainstay Jamie Strong and Chris Haycock (plus a scad of mystery guests), a diverse and indisputably sexy crowd, an ample supply of burgers on the BBQ, and lots and lots of sangria. It'll be interesting to see how this all transfers to Tokyo, though the choice of offbeat 'free space' Dictionary Club Art School as the venue is an interesting one. There are no details of who's going to be playing, and while it's free to get in, you'll need to RSVP by email in advance – and then make sure you turn up early.
