Rather than rely on a backing band or pre-recorded music, dance group Mujer decided to take matters into their own hands. The 'female performance unit', formed by Tokyo-based choreographer Misako Kikuchi, have everything they need to make their own noise – including resident drummer U and sax player U-Ko. Mujer's latest show looks set to be a feast of cross-discipline antics: the group will be collaborating with video artist Who You, while the evening's entertainment also includes jousts and duels between tapdancer Suji and percussionist Kuniaki Bando, dancer Mako Kubeck and artist Kyotaro, and many more besides.
