Montreux Jazz Festival Japan 2015

Possibly the world's top jazz festival, the longstanding Montreux Jazz is way bigger than the Swiss town that's been hosting it every year since 1967. This groovy celebration now expands to Tokyo for the month of October, with 12 days of jazz, rock, blues, reggae, soul and world music gigs taking place in the Ebisu-Daikanyama-Aoyama area. The performers range from DJ extraordinaire Gilles Peterson and club jazz doyen Toshio Matsuura to veteran saxophonist David Sanborn and ex-Miles Davis/Shakti guitar guru John McLaughlin, who'll be appearing with his 4th Dimension band.
