Time Out says

Adam Young has shown that it’s a pretty short road from your bedroom to Carly Rae Jepsen. In just a few short years, the singing/songwriting electronica artist (who masquerades as Owl City) went from creating his little feel-good synth pop ditties in the basement of his Minnesota home to massive mainstream star, collaborating with the likes of pop princesses like Jepsen – and more recently, J-poppers Sekai no Owari. That last tie-up is probably what inspired promoters to bring him back to Tokyo for this solo gig, for which tickets are already on sale.
