Having released a popular book on breakfasts around the globe last year, Gaienmae's World Breakfast Allday, which serves a rotating selection of traditional morning grub from countries all over the world, looks set to continue its success story in 2015. The first offerings of the new year come from Japan's northern neighbour Russia, with the Russian Breakfast Plate (¥1,650) featuring homemade favourites like kasha, a kind of buckwheat porridge, blini pancakes with sour cream and salmon roe, kotleta (fried meat cutlets), beetroot salad and pickled mushrooms. For a little something sweet, try the kvass, a fermented rye drink flavoured with fruit, or some honey cake. Cooking classes and other related events will also be taking place throughout January and February.
