Time Out says

Born Tsuguharu Fujita (1886-1968), Léonard Foujita left his native Japan for Paris in the 1910s and quickly made his name as a painter with sensuous nudes and stunningly realistic portrayals of women and cats. He returned to Japan before the war, eventually becoming a propagandist for the Empire. These experiences changed Foujita's style and focus, with his postwar work expressing a more abstract, mysterious streak. This interesting free exhibit shines the spotlight on such later works, featuring around 40 pieces painted between the late '40s and the '60s.
