Akihiko Okamura: All About Life and Death

Sat Jul 19 - Tue Sep 23, 2014 Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography 3F Exhibition Room

Time Out says

Photographer Akihiko Okamura was one of the relatively unknown Japanese photographers who captured the horrors of the Vietnam War up close. Constantly striving to tell the story of conflicts, rights violations and destruction occurring in front of his eyes, Okamura's photojournalism took him to conflict zones from Ethiopia to Northern Ireland. This exhibition looks back at his life and career through a selection of previously unpublished shots, newly printed for the occasion.
