Noh Masks and Costumes: See/Know/Compare

Thu Jul 24 - Sun Sep 21, 2014 Mitsui Memorial Museum
重要文化財 翁(白色尉)伝日光作 室町時代 三井記念美術館

Time Out says

Explore the ancient art of Noh through masks and costumes at this comprehensive exhibition. Known for its seeming lack of emotions, this epic form of dance theatre contains plenty of variation, as evidenced by the more than 200 masks on display. Some of these even 'change expressions' when looked at from different angles, while the gorgeous costumes express the personality of each individual character.
