From men wearing elegant Heian-era costumes by Kokei Kobayashi to elegant ladies portrayed by Shinsui Ito, this exhibition lets visitors see how stylish people were back in the Edo period, just when Western culture started to influence Japanese painting. Anyone wearing a kimono gets a discount on the admission fee.
