Here you sit in quaint teahouse-style cottages in a manicured, pond-filled garden, grilling your own jidori chicken over charcoal, or dining on other seasonal Japanese delicacies. Anyone visiting Mt Takao should make a special detour for a meal here. In fact, it’s worth making a special trip, despite the long journey (50 minutes from Shinjuku by train, then ten minutes by bus). Reservations are highly recommended. Note that last orders is 90 minutes before closing time.
