A contemporary art gallery located in Ginza 2-chome, Megumi Ogita Gallery originally opened in Ginza 5-Chome in 2007, before relocating to their current premises in January 2010. Their main exhibition space is located underground, expansive, and engenders a foreign atmosphere. In addition to representing a number of Japanese artists, including Kengo Nakamura, Tomotaka Yasui and Karin Kamijo, the gallery also seeks to actively promote various foreign artists. In their former premises, in Ginza 5-chome, the gallery also operates a ‘Showcase’, in which they display works by emerging artists. When heading to the Ginza 2-chome gallery, look for the ‘Natural Lawson’ convenience store situated on the first floor of the building.
