Shinjuku's popular 'ramen izakaya' cooks up a varied menu of ramen, tsukemen, abura-soba (ramen without soup) and booze-compatible appetisers in hip surroundings, attracting a steady stream of noodle-lovers both day and night. Their ajitama chuka soba (¥900) is served in a strong seafood-based soup and comes topped with a soft-boiled egg and flavourful chashu pork.
