Rainy season? Come early, you say? It didn't seem to have any impact on this year's Big Beach Festival, which positively basked in sunshine – as per usual. The sands of Makuhari, Chiba may not have been as crowded as they were at the 2010 edition of the event, when The Chemical Brothers played a headlining DJ set, but that didn't diminish the fun. The musical meat'n'potatoes came accompanied with a side order of eye candy, both planned (the fireworks, the Red Bull-sponsored stunt flights and F1 car demonstration) and spontaneous (the lone male streaker). Throw in the most scantily crowd you'll find outside swimming season, and you could've been forgiven for barely even noticing that Fatboy Slim and Carl Cox were DJing. We didn't – but we took a lot of photos instead.
