Offering an alternative to the ubiquitous summer beer gardens, Tokyo Tower will be serving up whisky highballs from May 31 until the start of September. Head to the base of Tokyo Skytree's dowdy predecessor each evening for a menu of highballs (from ¥450), including a 'Tokyo Tower Highball' flavoured with bitter orange and herbs, and a fancier variety made with Suntory's new Premium Kakubin whisky. The food menu includes bacon and cheese from Chiba's Mother Farm, plus a limited quantity of sirloin steak each day. And before you ask – yeah, they sell beer too.
