Time Out says
Few British painters in the post-war period had a style as instantly recognisable as Francis Bacon, whose 'dreadful pictures' (thanks, Maggie Thatcher) still retain their capacity to unsettle today. This retrospective offers an overview of Bacon's entire career, in the first large-scale exhibition of his work in Asia since his death in 1992. There'll be over 30 pieces on display at The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, divided into three categories: 'Transient Body', 'Sacrificed Body' and 'Anti-Narrative Body'.
