In the wake of the tsunami disaster, the folks at Studio Lily asked photographers the world over to answer the question, what does Japan mean to you? Requiring respondents to answer in photographic form, the studio very quickly amassed a collection of over 600 shots, sent in from 21 different countries. Heading back online, their audience was given the chance to vote for their favourite pictures, and in this way the studio managed to whittle them down to a mere 50, all of which will be on display at this exhibition. Naturally, any proceeds raised will go to charity, via JEN NGO.
Organisers tell us that the official website will remain open, as will the Facebook page, and that people are welcome to continue sending in their own shots for potential future exhibitions, or just browse the pics and enjoy the beauty of Japan.
