On a normal year, Tokyo's Earth Day celebrations draw enough people to make it the biggest such event in the world. It's hard to say if things will be more subdued this year, but if the weather's good, there's no better place to be over the weekend over April 23-24 than Yoyogi Park. Charities, NPOs and eco-minded businesses will be out in force, and the music lineup features acoustic performances by members of Soul Flower Union, Likkle Mai and Dachambo's Ao (plus friends). And if you're a member of Tokyo's long-suffering vegetarian population, a trip to the Earth Kitchen food court is downright essential.
