Time Out says

Drawing on its own collection of Western prints from the late 18th century to the end of the 19th century, Kamakura's Museum of Modern Art recreates the fantasy worlds dreamed up by artists like Francisco Goya, William Blake, Eugène Delacroix and Max Klinger in the aftermath of the French Revolution. This breakdown of power structures and value systems pushed the development of schools like Romanticism and Symbolism, which celebrated imaginary pasts and idealised forms of expression. Revisit the products of this tumultuous time at Kamakura's Annex, located behind the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine.
