The Yamadera Goto Museum in Yamagata, which centres on the private collection of entrepreneur Suejiro Goto, makes a field trip to Yokohama's Sogo Museum of Art with this exhibition featuring a vast selection of classical European art from the 16th to the 19th century. French artists, ranging from traditionalist William-Adolphe Bouguereau to the Barbizon realists, are particularly well represented among the approximately 70 pieces on display.
