Creator of some of the most artistically ambitious Japanese animated films to come out in the last two decades, Satoshi Kon is best known for hit titles like Millennium Actress and Tokyo Godfathers. Having passed away in 2010 at the age of 46, Kon left behind a vast trove of drawings, storyboards and other materials, many of which are displayed at this extensive retrospective. The museum's cinema also shows a program of four Kon films – Paprika (2006) and the opening episode of Paranoia Agent (2004), in addition to the two above-mentioned movies.
