Offering an alternative to the ubiquitous summer beer gardens, Tokyo Tower will be serving up whisky highballs until the end of September. Head to the base of Tokyo Skytree's dowdy predecessor each evening for a menu of highballs (from ¥460), including a 'Tokyo Tower Highball' flavoured with bitter orange and herbs, and a 'Mega Kaku Highball' that's twice as big as the standard ones. The food menu includes a variety of alcohol-compatible snacks, and before you ask – yeah, they sell beer too.
