Japan Avantgarde

Wed Apr 23 - Mon May 19, 2014 Poster Haris Gallery

Time Out says

Japanese underground theatre blossomed between the 1960s and 80s, and the creative energy that fuelled this success was also captured in the advertisement material of the era. Designed by renowned creators like Tadanori Yokoo and Aquirax Uno, these ‘un-gra’ theatre posters retain great artistic value. See them now at this rare exhibition. Talks will also take place during the exhibition period, with artists like Uno and Sebastian Masuda scheduled to appear.

Update: the exhibition will also take place at Atsukobarouh Arts Drinks Talk nearby, where more posters will be displayed. The ticket price includes admission to both exhibitions.
