Review

Here’s a recipe for postmodern kitsch, Tokyo-style. Take a 40-year-old coffee shop that hasn’t seen a decorator in 30 years, install a glitter ball, two turntables and… absolutely nothing else. Result: the blue-rinse set still come for coffee in the daytime, but the evening brings lounge-loving urban hipsters who love the laid-back grooves. The draft beers are served in narrow sundae glasses - not great value but good fun the first few times.
