Review

This is a running base exclusively for women, and conveniently situated for runs in the Togu Palace and Seitoku Memorial Museum area. It opened on March 22, 2010 and operates on a membership system. There are two kinds of memberships which save you from paying each time you use the facilities: the Gold Membership (¥10,000 enrolment fee, ¥10,000 a month) and the Silver Membership (¥5,000 enrolment fee, ¥4,000 a month). Silver members are split into two groups, the ‘Morning Members,’ who can use the facilities from 7:30am to midday, and the ‘Afternoon Members’, who have access from 12:30pm to 5pm. Visitors have to pay a fee of ¥1,200 for each visit. The facilities include five showers, 120 lockers for clothing and 144 small personal shoe lockers. There are several recommended running courses in the area. The course from Rs around Meiji Jingu Gaien and back is around 2km, and if you circle once around the Akasaka Estate it’s around 3km. With just the right amount of hills in the area, you should be able to put together different routes to make a course that perfectly complements any training need.
