This ‘cathedral’ sticks out like a sore thumb among the low buildings just off Waseda-dori on the east side of Takadanobaba Station. The interesting thing is that although the structure looks just like a real church, it’s actually the base for a completely commercial wedding service provider and hosts a replica of a ‘medieval’ chapel, a banquet hall and everything else one needs for a true ‘European Taste’ (as they call it) wedding, complete with faux priests, a string quartet and carillon playing. Keep an eye out for the elaborate receptions on the weekends, or just peek in whenever for a look at the kitschy suits of armour and other decorations in the lobby.
