Togoshi Ginza Onsen

Review

This modern-looking bathhouse is actually a reincarnation of the old Naka no Yu, a 40-year-old sento that closed its doors in 2006. Reborn as Togoshi Ginza Onsen, the complex now has a few baths supplied with authentic hot-spring water, as well as more typically sento-esque tubs like an electrified denki-buro. In a novel mix of retro and modern, one side of the bathhouse has a mural of Mt Fuji by veteran sento artist Morio Nakajima, while the other has a more modern rendering of the famous peak.
