The Hara donut pips the Floresta nature donut to sixth place on the strength of oil content alone - by which we mean that there's considerably less of it. Other than that, there's very little to separate the two. This light and lovingly prepared donut is baked from an okura and soy milk batter, the ingredients for which are brought in from the original shop in Nara. Again, a classic Japanese donut that bears little relation to its heart-stopping American cousin. Hara donut. ¥120. Available from Hara Donuts at various locations across the city
