Time Out says: Tokyo Joe has been a successful title for Humphrey Bogart, Ryuichi Sakamoto and, of course, Bryan Ferry, who belts out his 1977 hit with gusto, restrictive leather trousers be damned. Ignore the lyrics about geisha girls and oriental eyes that would make Ace of Base cringe, and you've got a fairly pungent Ferry sleaze-fest — just the way we like 'em.
