Time Out says

The first time Time Out met Chris Willson, in the photographers' pit at Fuji Rock Festival, it was obvious that he was a lot better at his job than we were. When he's not snapping immaculate pics of Thom Yorke, the longterm expat (originally from Manchester) works as a photographer, writer and lecturer in Okinawa, though he's clearly found some time to travel over the years. In Matsuri, Willson showcases some of the shots he's taken at festivals throughout the country, from Okinawa to Hokkaido, using his trusty Pentax medium format cameras.
