We were big fans of last year's Freaks music festivals (see our reports here and here), so it's good to hear that the event will be returning at the end of the summer – albeit under a different name. The newly minted Xland Festival promises a mix of bands and veteran DJs, all served up at a mountainside leisure resort an hour outside of Tokyo. There'll be repeat performances by LA duo Rub N Tug, DJ Krush and DJ Nobu, accompanied by big names including indie disco supremos Friendly Fires, NYC house heavyweight Joaquin 'Joe' Claussell and musical polymath Shugo Tokumaru. See below for the complete lineup, and check the website for a timetable.
