The streets of Shinjuku assume an artsy appearance for this year's edition of Creators' Festa, a sprawling celebration of creativity that brings art into the area's office buildings, overpasses and public spaces. Just walking around Shinjuku Station should be enough to spot some of the humorous pieces on offer, including work by top names like Yoichiro Kawaguchi and Noboru Tsubaki. A wide variety of related events, including kids' workshops, talks and an artsy Coke bottle exhibit (Isetan 1F, Aug 12-17) will also take place around the area throughout the festival period. Don't miss the Godzilla sand sculpture at Shinjuku Central Park's fountain plaza.
