The Japanese garden at Shingawa's Grand Prince Hotel plays host to this weekend celebration of traditional summer fun, including cork gun shooting, yo-yo fishing and comedy, the latter in rakugo form performed by the hilarious Senju Yanagiya. There will also be a senko hanabi (sparkler fireworks resembling incense sticks) competition with juicy prices for the winners – why not try your luck? The garden café will serve Hawaiian barbecue while hula dancers and ukulele players entertain the crowds, making for a fun fusion experience.
