West and south of Shinbashi station are hundreds of bars where hard-working Japanese businessmen drown the stresses of their day to relax. At least 50 of those bars, including Tactics, are gay. The clientele here consists mostly of salarymen in their 30s, direct from the office in their suits and ties, while the staff are predominately younger guys in T-shirts. Foreign visitors are made to feel welcome, and long-term expats are also sometimes part of the scene. The first drink here costs ¥1,500, and ¥800 thereafter.
