Review

A natural spring on the northern side of the Nogawa River bisects this picturesque park, which actually started life as a golf course. The area around the spring is a popular paddling spot in summer, and upstream is a small nature centre where you can listen to recorded sounds of Tokyo's birds and learn about various insects. Climbing frames and other wooden play equipment dot the extensive grassy areas, and there are also tennis courts and a gateball field. It’s a half-hour train ride from Shinjuku, followed by an easy walk from the station.
