Review

Tokyo’s best aquarium is in a rather inconvenient location, on the western edge of Tokyo Bay. The best feature is the water tank tunnel, which lets you walk under swimming green turtles, stingrays and scores of other fish. From another tank, huge sand tiger sharks peer out with cold, steely eyes. The aquarium also offers Tokyo’s only dolphin shows, which take place at the outdoor stadium four or five times a day. They always attract huge crowds, so check the show schedule on arrival.
