Billing itself as a secret hideaway for grown-ups, Hotel S Roppongi offers spacious, slickly designed rooms in a location just up the road from the Nishi-Azabu crossing. Doubles start at ¥21,700 (¥18,600 on weekdays), and many of the rooms incorporate Japanese motifs – which in the 'Zen' suite even extends to a retro, hinoki cypress bathtub. The hotel is part of a complex that also includes serviced apartments and a selection of restaurants, and guests are given exclusive use of a ground-floor lounge that comes equipped with computers and printers (plus a decent selection of newspapers, magazines and art books).
