Canada's Adam Marshall delights in blurring the borders between genres. As a DJ and producer – with releases on labels including Cynosure, Crosstown Rebels and his own New Kanada imprint – he combines the insistent thrust of techno with the warmth of deep house. After an adolescent brush with Primal Scream's Screamadelica converted him to the dance music cause, Marshall went on to become an influential figure in the mid-’90s Toronto scene. Now based in Berlin, he'll be heading to Tokyo in the company of another of the city's techno expats: local lass Akiko Kiyama.
