Time Out says

Audiences at Summer Sonic were given an early glimpse of this stage extravaganza devoted to the late King of Pop, which moves into the Blue Man Group's former home in Roppongi on September 29. Originally devised by Michael Jackson biographer Adrian Grant, Thriller Live rifles through the singer's greatest hits, from his Jackson 5 days to the iffy stuff he released in the mid-'90s (hello, 'Earth Song'!). Reviews of the show's long-running West End production suggest that the resulting spectacle is more lavish karaoke session than bona fide musical, though for hardened Jacko fans – and there are plenty of them in Japan – that should be enough.
