Hikarie's D47 Museum, dedicated to spreading the word about all of Japan's 47 prefectures, next holds up the venerable Kyoto with this exhibition combining design, travel and edible goodies. Admire the latest from local creatives, shop for 'designer souvenirs' at the associated pop-up shop and head to the museum restaurant for a special Kyoto Teishoku, which forgoes traditional Kyo-ryori in favour of 'Kyoto-style Chinese' cuisine – don't even ask.
